If you’re one of those with fast-draining mobile phone batteries who are always on the look-out for charging points, then this might make your day.
From September 1, 10 new double-decker buses fitted with USB charging ports will hit the roads. According to a joint press release by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and SMRT, these new buses are the first in Singapore with such a feature.
The buses will be run by SMRT, and will be deployed to five SMRT bus services – Service 61 from Bukit Batok Bus Interchange, Services 67 and 985 from Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange and Services 963 and 969 from Woodlands Temporary Bus Interchange. Read more
