MBC drama “W” is already reigning the Wednesday-Thursday time-slot garnering a majority of viewership and the broadcaster is taking efforts to step up the figures.
Its tenth episode that was aired last week garnered a viewership share of 12.3%. On the other hand, the KBS series “Uncontrollably Fond” that stars Kim Woo-bin posted an 8% rating.
Meanwhile, “W” has released behind-the-scenes photos of Lee Jong-suk filming a shooting scene that took place in the last week’s episode, Soompi reported. Lee’s character, Kang Cheol, was shot after a dramatic confrontation in that episode.
It also has unveiled never-before-seen images from an underwater scene shown in the drama. Yibada reported that a cast member Han has uploaded several photos on her Weibo account that revealed her filming activities for a scene featured in Episode 6. The said scene involved the underwater sequence that involved both Oh Yeon-joo and Kang Chul.
A source from Green Snake Media, the production company, told Soompi, “Lee Jong-suk is a clever actor. There are times when the false and true identities act differently, but he portrays the conflict in identity very well. Because of its format, ‘W’ presents some unique challenges to its actors, and he deals with them very naturally. Even in difficult scenes, he carefully walks the line between the false and true identities.”
