The new frontrunner in the Philippine vice presidential race Leni Robredo asked for continued support from the public as she takes the lead in the latest Pulse Asia survey five days before the elections.
“We are grateful that we have finally topped the Pulse Asia survey with a few days to go before elections,” said Robredo in a statement on Wednesday.
“Tuluy-tuloy lang po ang suporta para masiguro ang tunay na panalo sa ika-siyam ng Mayo (Please continue with the support to ensure real victory on May 9),” said Robredo.
In the previous Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey conducted from April 18 to 20, Robredo garnered 26%, one point ahead of Marcos.
The latest survey commissioned by ABS-CBN was conducted from April 26 to 29 with 4,000 respondents. It has a sampling margin of error of plus/minus 1.5%.
Trailing behind Robredo is Marcos with 28%, a three-point decrease from the previous survey, while Senator Francis Escudero remained at 18%. Senator Alan Peter Cayetano got 15% while Senators Antonio Trillanes IV and Gringo Honasan received 3% and 2% of the votes, respectively. Read More
