The search for a 7-year-old whose parents abandoned him on a mountain in Japan to “discipline” him for what they called his misbehavior produced no leads when it resumed May 30.
The hunt for Yamato Tanooka, who went missing two days earlier, restarted at 6 a.m. with 130 police and school officials.
But as of noon, no clues indicating his whereabouts had turned up, according to police.
The second-grader of Hokuto, a city in southern Hokkaido, disappeared on the mountain in the Higashi-Onuma district of the town of Nanae. More Read
