The world’s biggest Korean-culture convention and festival will hit both LA and NY this summer with an increasingly stacked lineup.
After KCON announced Seventeen and MAMAMOO as the first artists to get East Coast fans excited for KCON New York, two more top groups have been announced for its West Coast date.
Block B and GFriend are the first acts revealed for the Los Angeles iteration of the Korean-culture festival coming to the city’s famed Staples Center this July. KCON returns for its fifth time in L.A. this year for another three days of conventions and two days of concerts.
An act who has always stood out among other boy bands, Block B is the seven-member male act known for pairing their bombastic personalities with a slew of different genres including attitude-filled hip-hop (see “Jackpot” or “H.E.R.”) and most recently neo-soul-inspired R&B with their new buzz single “A Few Years Later” (above) that previews their upcoming Blooming Period album that fans will get to experience live. Meanwhile, GFriend is one of the standout rookie girl groups and garnered a strong following for their innocent and fresh sound, and athletic choreography. Read More
